Every week, the Montreal Gazette challenge's their Instagram followers to show them a slice of their Montreal. With a different theme each week, they ask local photographers to follow the weekly guidelines and to hashtag their work with #mtlfriday.

Last week I participated in the contest for the first time, which you can see here.

This weeks theme is "DOORS". You can find Captura Camera's submission below, as well as by following @capturacamera on Instagram. This photo was taken at the Notre-Dame Basilica in the Old Port of Montreal.

With my camera firmly mounted on a tripod I took a 20 second exposure for my base image. I then took a couple of other longer exposures in order to paint some light into the tree and sides of the church.

I hope you enjoy!
