Night photography provides photographers with lots of opportunities for creative fun, and this is particularly true in Montreal where we are spoiled with so many amazing places to take photos.

One of the things I love to do with night photography is play with light and create various effects with it. One of which is the creation of star-bursts coming off points of light. As you can see in this photo taken from the vantage point of Saint Helen's Island in Montreal, all the lights lining the Saint Laurence River and the Jacques Cartier bridge are creating beautiful star-bursts.

So get out there and photograph the concrete jungle that is Montreal. Amongst the concrete and tall buildings there are infinite possibilities to capture the cityscape and to play with light and shadow.
