The other night there was a full moon looming over the city of Montreal, and so I headed over to Mount Royal to take a photo. To my surprise, when I got there, I realized that the full moon could be seen directly next to the Mount Royal Cross. I pulled out my camera, setup my tripod and got to work.
The cross has stood atop Mount Royal since 1924, and it stands 30 metres (98 feet) high and when lit, can be seen from miles away. This was my first time taking a photo of the cross, and with the fall colours and the beautiful full moon in the distance, I really think this photograph is something special.
It order to achieve this final shot I hand to blend a couple of different long exposure images, however, the end result really is one of my favourite photos ever.
