As the ice moves along the waters of the Saint Lawrence River, it creates a wonderful opportunity for a long exposure photograph in the winter time. The ice gives some texture to the water, and it helps the image come alive.

This photo was taken from Parc Jean-Drapeau. This is one of my favourite locations to photograph sunsets in Montreal. The light falls behind the Old Port and the skyscrapers of the downtown area. With the right clouds, it's absolutely beautiful.
