Montreal was recently graced with its first snowfall of 2016 and so I decided to try and capture a few special images.

The city really does turn into a winter wonderland when it snows. Sure, it's hard to get around, but all that white powder provides great opportunities for some magical photos.

Both photographs were both taken from Parc Jean-Drapeau, which can be found on Saint Helen's Island just outside the city.

This first image is a landscape photo where I tried to play with the foreground elements at my disposal. I love the lighting and the composition of this image.

The second photograph is a panoramic shot of Montreal's skyline. I love how you can almost feel the chill in the air coming off the water of the Saint Lawrence river as you look at the image.
