Why shouldn’t I just hire uncle bob to photograph my wedding?
These days everyone has a camera. But it’s not the camera that makes the photographer. Let’s paint a picture.
Your uncle Bob has a brand new high end DSLR camera with an expensive lens. He assures you he is ready to go. Uncle Bob looks at the scene and adjusts his camera settings based on what the camera reads. Unfortunately, because there was so much black in the scene from the suits, the camera was over exposing all of the shots to compensate, and all the photos of ceremony are ruined.
This is just one small example of what can go wrong when hiring Uncle Bob.
You only get married once. You only come down the aisle once. Do you really want to put those moments in the hands of an untrained professional?
Technical mistakes aside, uncle Bob doesn't have the creative eye that a professional does. We here at Captura Camera have that creative eye, and we understand how to capture these once in a lifetime moments for you.
If you want to have professional quality images of your wedding day that will be timeless heirlooms to be shown and handed down for generations to come, invest in a professional wedding photographer. You will eat the food, the DJ will pack up his gear and your venue will be used by someone else the following day. However, your wedding photos are with you forever.
Do you deliver every image you shoot during a wedding or engagement session?
No, we do not. We take the time to carefully eliminate duplicate images, test shots, missed focused shots, shots with bad expressions and other images that may dilute the overall final delivery. With our expertise of processing thousands of images each year, we may eliminate ones that we feel are not up to our high standards.
Do you edit every delivered image?
Yes we do. Every image we deliver is post produced with our unique signature style. This involves colour correction, exposure adjustment, selective black and white processing, clarity adjustments, tone-mapping, and other corrections. Many photographers will not post produce any images, or will only post produce a small portion of the images from your wedding. Not us. Every image we will deliver has been carefully processed to meet our high standards.
How long before we can see our wedding and/or engagement photos?
Post production for both our wedding and engagement sessions are completed within 7 business days after the date of the shoot.
What happens if the photographer is sick the day of my wedding?
Randy Smith, the owner and lead photographer at Captura Camera will always be the photographer for your wedding day. However, while it is unlikely that he will be ill on your wedding day, there is still a chance. Life can get in the way sometimes. That is why Captura Camera wedding photography has 2 equally skilled master photographers that can take over in case of illness.
Are you available for travel outside of Montreal or the province of Quebec?
